Bombay Beach

A one-square-mile grid on the Salton Sea's far shore, the lowest community in the country, half ghost town and half open-air art show. The Biennale has left behind pieces you can wander any day: the Drive-In (wrecked cars facing a blank trailer), the Ruins, a swing set stranded where the water used to be.
