Cap Homme / Ralph Adams Park

Palm Desert's 27-acre trailhead park at the base of the Santa Rosas — the main gateway to the Cahuilla Hills trail system, with the Homestead, Hopalong Cassidy, and Herb Jeffries trails climbing to ridge-line valley views. There's a fenced off-leash dog area at the bottom, picnic spots, and connector paths running north through the Fox Hiking Park open space. Go early; shade is scarce.
