Afternoon Star Tour and Sun Day on Wednesday

Did you know that our Observatory Dome can be turned into a planetarium? Our Integrated Space Theater allows us to take you on a simulated journey through the Universe when clouds or sunlight prevent us from showing you the real thing. Join us most Wednesdays at 3:00 pm for a 15-minute show. Should we reach capacity, subsequent shows will run until every patron has been accommodated.

Sun Days are your opportunity to get up close and personal with our closest star: the Sun! We will have everything you need to stare safely at the Sun, and staff and volunteers available to answer all of your solar questions. You may arrive anytime within the hour, but those interested in catching an Afternoon Star Tour beforehand must be present by 3 pm. We encourage you to come for the show and stay for the Sun! No registration necessary.
