Fall Concerts in the Park

Get ready for unforgettable Thursday nights filled with music, dancing, and good vibes at Palm Desert’s Civic Center Park. This October, the City’s Concerts in the Park series returns with an incredible lineup of performances celebrating the music of iconic artists and legendary bands Thursdays at 6 p.m. This fall’s free Concerts in the Park series spans Fleetwood Mac harmonies, Y2K anthems, country favorites,, neon-soaked 80’s hots, and the King of Pop.

Mirage opens the series October 1, with the music of Fleetwood Mac, a catalog that has survived breakups, changing lineups, several generations of fans, and more than a few dramatic road trips. The acclaimed tribute band recreates the layered harmonies, distinctive sound, and memorable melodies behind some of rock’s most enduring songs.

On October 8, y2k2k! rewinds the park to the era of boy bands, pop-punk, dance floor anthems, and phones that mostly just made actual calls. The high-energy set packs two decades of radio hits into one lively evening, celebrating the songs that filled car steroes, burned CDs, and carefully curated playlists throughout the early 2000s.

Franklin Wall brings some twang and swagger to the amphitheater stage on October 15 with a perfomance spanning modern and classic country. The show will feature legendary standards alongside current chart-toppers, giving longtime country listeners and newer fans plenty to recognize.

On October 22, the 80’s All-Stars turn Civic Center Park into a retro dance party. The band brings the decade’s biggest pop, rock, and new wave hits to life with the color, energy, and glorious excess the music deserves. It is a celebration of unforgettable hooks, larger-than-life performances, and songs that still make it difficult to stay in your chair.

MJ Vibes closes the series October 29 with hit songs, choreography, and the iconic style of Michael Jackson. From flashy constumes and signature dance moves to the electrifying showmanship of the King of Pop, the tribute captures the spectacle of a Michael Jackson performance while revisiting some ofthe most influential music ever recorded. The best way to to finish the series with plenty of glam and excitement.

In addition to great music, concertgoers can enjoy delicious culinary creations offered by the weekly on-site food truck, or bring a picnic along with blankets or lawn chairs. Please note that alcohol and smoking are not permitted in the park.

All shows start at 6 p.m. at the Civic Center Park Amphitheater, on the northeast corner of San Pablo Avenue and Fred Waring Drive. For more information, visit PalmDesert.gov/Concerts or call 760-568-1441.
